For men and women from under-represented backgrounds, something interesting happens in front-end development: you often see wizards masquerading as “lucky” nerds, brilliant peacocks masquerading as run-of-the-mill sparrows. What’s at the root of this? And how can we make it stop? This talk discusses three key steps that front-end developers, in particular, can take to gain visibility in their careers and to stop sabotaging themselves professionally.
